Dr. Jeannette Nuessli Guth earned her degree in Food Science from ETH Zurich in 1992 and completed her doctorate in 1998. She then pursued postdoctoral research at INRA in Nantes, France. Since 2000, she has been affiliated with ETH Zurich, specializing in food sensory science. She is currently part of the Consumer Behavior group within the Department of Health Sciences and Technology. Since 2003, her research has focused on sensory language, particularly how people describe their perceptions of food and beverages in everyday life.

Dr. Maren Runte earned her doctoral degree in linguistics (lexicography) from the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2013. Since 2009, she has been a lecturer at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. Her research interests include semantics, lexicography, and corpus-driven discourse analysis. Since 2009, she has also been involved in projects focusing on the description of taste in everyday language and the semantics of taste-related terms.
